Masterbatch applications are as broad as the polymer industry; they involve taking special functional or aesthetic additives and compounding or polymerizing them into a carrier polymer system (creating the masterbatch concentrate). and them blending in that masterbatch concentrate into an identical polymer resin (typically by compounding extrusion).
