NYCOA to exhibit at Rotoplas 2017
Next Generation Nylon (Polyamide) Materials for Rotational Molding
Manchester, NH, US, April 25, 2017– NYCOA is exhibiting at Rotoplas 2017 (Booth #524) being held on 26 - 28 September at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, IL. NYCOA is announcing that it has developed nylon (polyamide) materials that can withstand high temperatures and high impact forces. These materials can be processed via conventional rotational molding processes into hydraulic tanks, diesel and gasoline tanks, hot air ducts, and similar demanding applications.
“The NYCOA 1702 is a next generation nylon material that provides remarkable benefits in the rotational molding process. Most significantly, NYCOA 1702 can be processed at Polyethylene (PE) oven temperatures and times, making it feasible for all rotational molders to process it cost-effectively.” said Pratik Shah, VP New Business Development at NYCOA Inc. Over its long history, NYCOA has successfully distinguished itself from other suppliers, as a specialist in technical high performance nylon materials. “NYCOA doesn’t offer solutions in every nylon application segment, but in markets that it does participate NYCOA is by far the leader with customized product offerings. This is exactly what NYCOA in now offering to rotational molding market,” he added.
Benefits of NYCOA 1702 includes:
- Easily processed at PE rotational molding conditions
- Best impact toughness (200+ ft-lb) vs other rotational molding nylon grades
- Processed at lower PIAT (420 – 440 F)
- Excellent surface appearance and aesthetics, suitable for visible components
- Resistant to hot oil, diesel, gasoline, and other industrial fluids
- Excellent barrier to limit fuel permeation
